Dr. John Hittinger
How did Pope John Paul II chart a path through the confusion of the post-Vatican II era? What were his strategies and achievements, and what challenges are still present for us today? A distinguished graduate of Notre Dame and Catholic University, with later faculty positions at Sacred Heart Seminary (Detroit) and St. Mary’s College of Ave Maria in Michigan, Dr. Hittinger has numerous publications in the field of philosophy. He has served as the Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University of St. Thomas in Houston and is now professor in their Deptartment of Philosophy and a member of the Center for Thomistic studies.
