Tom Farr on Religious Freedom

Tom Farr spoke on campus this evening. Why should the United States emphasize religious freedom as a part of foreign policy. He argued that it was a a factor for stability in regimes, it solidified democracy and even would have economic benefits.

The main distinction he urged on the audience was that we must do more than oppose religious persecution; we must also promote religious freedom in institutions and habits of the people..
